RE: Silverline Products
We are pleased to announce a new supplier agreement with Silverline tools. Some key lines will be stocked, but most will be ordered as required. Orders for Silverline tool products have a weekly cut-off time of 16:00 each Thursday will be dispatched the following Monday / Tuesday, unless the product is a stocked item, in which case they will be dispatched as soon as possible.

We are pleased to announce that as of Thursday 21st August we will be able to accept credit cards at our trade counter in Maidstone, Kent. As always, cash and cheque payments are also accepted. If your a regular purchaser, consider setting up a nett monthly account.

RE: Price Increases
We have been informed by our fixings importers that prices are due to increase again today, some items by as much as 30%. While we will try to keep prices down as much as we can, we will be required to adjust some prices. We have also bee told by two different suppliers to expect prices to double by September for many items. This is all due to the ever increasing prices of steel.

RE: Paypal Express Problems

We have been made aware of problems processing orders that have been paid for via the Paypal Express checkout. We have now removed this payment option, but normal Paypal payments are accepted. The problem stems from that way the express checkout works, meanign that customers are not entering any information on our website and therfore the order is not being completed. Any payments made through this method are then not being completed. As soon as Paypal have a fix for this error, we will re-instate the option.

Commencing 30th June 2008, we will be undertakign our yearly stock take. While we hope to complete this process quickly and efficiently, we estimate this to take the complete week to complete. We will be open for business as usual dring this time and taking all orders as usual.

Our foams and sealants range is now available for purchase online. These are sold in bulk packs, which has enabled us to keep prices down to a minimum. Included in this range is fire protectants and barriers for all construction projects. All items are available for delivery within 3 working days.

RE: Fischer Price Increases



Today Fischer released the following statement:

"There can not be many people unaware of the spiralling cost increases that are affecting every aspect of the manufacture and distribution of products. In the past few years we have managed to keep our costs under control with efficiencies in all areas of our operations and we will constantly strive to achieve savings, but regrettably the situation at the present time has become unsustainable."

"Our current pricing was set in September / October 2007, and since then costs have continued to increase at record double digit levels; plastics, metals, chemicals, packaging, energy, and distribution have all been touched by the global crisis in supply and demand."

"The present situation can not be sustained and it has become necessary to pass on a preportion of these increases to the market, but our view is still one of caution. We will therefore be applying a materials surcharge which can be reviewed as the situation develops during the coming months, making further adjustments up or down if required".

Therefore, there will be price increases across the Fischer range between 2 - 8% depending upon the product. While we will not be increasing prices of those items we have in stock, any future purchased stocks will result in a price increase. We suggest that should you require any quantity of Fischer branded products, that you place your order as soon as possible to not be affected by these increases.

RE: Spring Reductions

The final day for purchasing items within the spring reduction offer has been announced. This offer will end on the 30th May 2008. .
