Due to the recent Covid-19 outbreak, our trade counter is currently closed for customers.

Collection is available on orders with instructions for collections once orders are placed.

Courier deliveries are currently operating as normal with some delays in a small select number of locations.

We have made arrangements with suppliers to send items direct on a next day service on items that have a 3 day availability and are not on our shelves. These charges are set by our manufacturers and will depend on items ordered and delivery postcode, but should help with clearing backlogs and ensuring deliveries are received quickly if required.

Cone Point Socket Set Screws - Self Colour

Cone Point Socket Set Screws - Self Colour

Cone point socket screws manufactured from 45H grade ISO 4029 steel in a self colour finish.

Self coloured finishes have no protection against corrosion, and are more suited for use in internal joinery applications. Self colour finishes have no definitive colour and can vary with the effects of natural oxidisation and weathering, from a bright zinc finish to a dark black colour. Before being used in exterior environments, they should be coated or painted with a protective covering.

  • Knurl point screws are generally used to secure one object within another.
  • The serrated ridge on the knurl cup set screw helps reduce loosening due to vibration.
  • The knurled point combines digging action of the cup point with counter-clockwise locking knurls that have a ratchet-locking action which helps resist loosening, even under the most severe vibrations.
  • Knurl point set screws should not be reused because the cutting edges of the knurls are deflected when tightened. During removal, the cutting edges are torn and no longer have full strength to resist unscrewing.
  • Self colour finish.
